The Ba Gua is considered one of the highest spiritual symbols. One could describe the trigrams as tools of life. The harmonious arrangement around the mirror corresponds to the origin, Nirvana, the Absolute.
Just like the beginning - so is our goal. In traditional China, the Ba-Gua mirror is often used to protect homes from negative energies. Convex and concave Ba Gua mirrors are so effective that they are only used outdoors if possible.

Convex mirrors:
Energies bounce off them and they find no support. Convex mirrors are always used where negative energies are to be reflected. For example, as protection against bad energies on front doors.

In Feng Shui, mirrors are used for protection and to ward off evil. It recognizes itself in it and takes flight so that negative influences are dissipated. They also have an activating and expanding effect and can direct and balance the flow of energy. In fairy tales, the mirror represents truth and knowledge.
