The production process results in less than 1% waste and this waste is used as fuel or livestock feed, so the environmental footprint is exceptionally low!

The raw materials used for production come mainly from local farmers in Kerala and the rest of India, building on a good and strong relationship with these farmers that has existed for more than seven decades. The company operates on the “no-credit” principle, meaning that all farmers and raw material suppliers are paid immediately. The factory pays fair wages to employees and fair prices to farmers.

Women's business
Holy Lama Naturals is a government-recognized women's business in Kerala, where more than 80% of factory workers are women. Most come from a disadvantaged position (e.g. widowed or abandoned by their partner).
