Dowsing with angle rods
Although angle rods can also be used to obtain the traditional responses of a pendulum (yes/no/maybe), they are primarily used to
- Find water, minerals and ley lines
- locate lost items
- To carry out measurements of a person's aura field and individual chakras.
An angle rod with a size ratio of 3 to 1 (long side/handles) has optimal balance. Angle rods are usually made of copper or brass and have plastic or copper handles that allow the rod to turn easily.
Holding and balancing rods – the starting position
Hold the rods firmly, but not tightly, with your index fingers about 2 cm below the top of the handles. Hold a rod in each hand with your arms bent at a 90-degree angle from your body and the ends of the angle rod parallel to the ground. You may find it easier to stabilize the rods if you keep your arms close to your body and your elbows pressed against your waist.
Determine your finding position
Decide what characterizes your finding position: rods crossing each other (forming an X) or wide open (forming a horizontal line) when finding an object. Both methods work as long as you specify this in advance. After you have determined your finding position, you can start running the rod.
